The site runs Joomla + JReviews with Everywhere and GeoMaps add-ons and JomSocial. JReviews comes with three JomSocial plugins: My Listings, My Reviews and My Favorites and also integrates with the JomSocial Activity Stream.
The Everywhere Add-on enables detailed reviews and ratings in user profiles in JomSocial. Take a look at this JomSocial profile to see all the integration options.
The GeoMaps Add-on is used in the New York City Guide listings for proximity search and mapping.
Site Structure
The site is organized into five different directories, all built with JReviews:
- News - We created one listing type and assigned it to all News categories. News articles don't need reviews, so only commenting is enabled. There are 3 custom fields created, for source link, tags and for related YouTube video.
- Products - Categories in this section are different product types so we created one listing type for each category. Some of the custom fields are used on all categories, and some of them are created for certain categories. Editor and user reviews are enabled.
- Entertainment - Categories are different products so we also created different listing types for each category.
- Services - Categories in this section didn't need different custom fields, so we created only one "Services" listing type which is assigned to all categories.
- New York City Guide - Three categories and three different listing types. All listing types use the same Location custom fields and they have also their own custom fields.
JReviews Menus
On the Main Menu and User Menu you can see different Menu Types you can create with JReviews. For more information refer to the Creating JReviewsMenu Links section of the documentation.
JReviews Modules
JReviews comes with several modules and they are all installed on this demo. The demo highlights the versatility of the Advanced Search Module. There's one advanced search module for each product category and one for New York City Guide. Every module has different custom fields belonging to certain category. For more information refer to the JReviews Modules section of the documentation.
